The Importance of Buying British

At Tekton Carpentry & Design we understand the importance of buying British. We started as a small local business and quickly learned the importance of buying locally and supporting our local community. As we have grown we have stuck to these principles and values and believe it to be a big part of our success.
We have always aimed to source as much as possible, from timber to tools and wood finishes, from local businesses.  We find building good relationships with our suppliers gets our clients the best quality materials at reasonable prices while helping keep local business alive and helping our economy thrive.
We've always found it crazy to import something that can be designed and made right here, saving on all the costs and ethical issues of transportation and using the wealth of woodworking knowledge and tradition that British craftsmen have spent hundreds of years perfecting.
This along with the huge environmental benefits is why we have stuck with this as a basis of our business since day one.
